This much I know about…the two days when I was closest to my dad

I have been a teacher for 26 years, a Headteacher for 11 years and on Father’s Day 2015, at the age of 50, this much I know about the two days when I was closest to my dad.

Writing Love Over Fear has been somewhat therapeutic; whilst it is a book about leading teaching, it also afforded me the opportunity to preserve most of what I can still retrieve of my dad from my memory store. For Father’s Day 2015, here’s a short account of a couple of days we spent together some 37 summers ago…

Lovely memories to treasure John. My dad died when I was 8 in horrific circumstances and I struggle to dig into my memory store, but do have a few treasures too. Enjoy today with Oliver and Joe .
